Leif Hetland is from the country of Norway, from a small
city on the West coast called Haugesund. In
1984, after 5 yrs of rebellion, he heard the call of God
to ministry. Through a glorious healing, deliverance and
impartation of love, he ventured into the world of full-time
ministry. The first four years of ministry were with Covenant
Players, a Christian drama ministry that took him to all
denominations in countries around the world. The highlight
of his ministry opportunities with this group was at Edgewood
Baptist Church in Columbus, GA where, in April 1988, he
met Jennifer Hilderbrand. In 1989, Leif and Jennifer were
married and since have been blessed with four beautiful
children.
In 1994, while serving as pastor of First Baptist church
in Sandnes, Norway, the Holy Spirit transformed a dried
out, burned out, hard working Baptist pastor into a passionate
lover filled with the Holy Spirit and compassion for God's
world. In a small pastor's meeting in the city of Haugesund,
God used a man named Randy Clark to facilitate this transformation
in Leif's life. Randy Clark is the man God used in
1993 to bring renewal to a church in Toronto, Canada that
has brought transformation to millions of lives through
revival. Randy approached Leif and had a prophetic
word for him that later changed the direction of his life.
The word was, "I don't know you but I can see
over your life that you are like a bulldozer. God
is calling you to prepare the way in unchartered territory.
You are a forerunner and you are here to prepare the preparers
for the coming of the Son of man".
He shared that Leif was an apostle with a calling to prepare
nations who had never yet heard the Gospel of The Kingdom.
In previous experiences, Leif had been involved in
missions to Africa, Eastern Europe, Europe and America...but
now there was new fire in his soul. Randy Clark laid
hands on him and it was as if a fire was burning within
him. All Leif could remember was that for the next
two hours he spent on the floor, he was weeping for the
nations of the world. Right afterwords, the Spirit
spoke a verse into his spirit, Ask of me and
I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the
uttermost part of the world as your possession"
(Psalm 2:8).
Since that time God has worked miraculously in Leif's life
to fulfill a portion of that prophecy. The Father
spared His life from an awful automobile accident and other
close to death encounters to see this prophecy come to pass.
Through the grace of God, Leif founded Global Mission Awareness
where he serves as President.
The Holy Spirit has led Leif to 67 nations on 5 continents
with the message of the Father Heart of God. Leif
has been involved in the development of thousands of leaders
and approximately 650,000 lives have been added to the Lamb's
Book of Life.
Last year 2,960 indigenous leaders attended GMA Leadership
Conferences, with 66,010 names being added to the Lamb's
Book of Life. We have experienced breakthroughs in
12 new nations as a result of partnership. HEAVEN
IS INVADING EARTH!
Leif is also involved in many communist countries and has
over 1,026 Lighthouses of Love bringing healing, deliverance
and restoration to people who are living in bondage.
Leif has been used in America to spread the "Mission Virus"
and impart power evangelism as a natural outpouring of God's Spirit
on His people. God has brought a tremendous amount
of favor on the life of Leif Hetland.
Leif is an author, businessman, Founder and President of
Global Mission Awareness, father of four children and husband.
But more than anything else, Leif is a Lover of God.
About two years ago, Leif had an encounter with the Father
of Love that changed his entire motivation for ministry.

R.T. Kendall, Randy Clark, Heidi Baker, Friede Taylor, Bill
Johnson, Dr. Eddie Lawrence and his dear friend, Dr. Bjornar
Heimstad. Because of these great mentors and
fathers in his life, Leif sees God opening up the nations
in a way that had seemed impossible. Habakkuk 1:5
says, "Look among the nations and see what I am doing,
be astonished because I am doing something in your day you
would not believe if you were told".
We pray that many will join hands with us to launch out
into deeper water for a great harvest. "The harvest
is ripe but the workers are few". Leif's motivation
is to continue to make sure there is a church among every
people group and a gospel for every person. Until
then, Leif and Global Mission Awareness will continue to
spread the "Mission Virus" all across the world. Be
