Elijah raised up a son, Elisha, to carry out his assignment after he was taken to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha received an inheritance (double portion) from Elijah, his father. Slaves and servants receive pay...sons and daughters receive inheritance. The Church of Jesus Christ is filled to overflowing with men and women crying out to be fathered and mothered. We are lacking Fathers raising up sons to pass on the inheritance. I Corinthians 4:15 says, "For though you might have ten thousand instructors (teachers) in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers."
