Philippines Trip Testimonies

December 2010

Below are testimonies from the team of how their lives were forever impacted by their trip and the testimonies of different healings that took place during the trip.

In August 2010 I attended a School of Healing and Impartation in Sydney Australia where Leif Hetland was one of the speakers. I was moved by Leif’s presentation on his international ministry and the way that lives were being changed by the Good news of Jesus Christ. During one of the conference sessions I believe God was calling me to be part of this ministry.
I applied to be part of the GMA team going to the Philippines in December 2010 and my life was changed forever. The ministry opportunities were incredible, as a team we prayed for about 300 people to receive an impartation of the Holy Spirit and over 100 people to receive the gift of healing through creative miracles. I was amazed by the level of faith the people I met and ministered to had in Jesus Christ and how they lived out Luke 4:18 every day of their lives. In the Philippines I saw captives released, the blind see, the oppressed set free, and the time of the Lord’s favour come.
During our visit to the national prison 50 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ and many more people were healed by him. As members of the team prayed for people at other times a baby 4 hours from death who had no real signs of life was revived and up and bouncing about in just minutes, a 100 year old woman had her hearing restored along with many others, many people had their sight restored through the removal of cataracts from their eyes, bad backs were healed, and the symptoms of arthritis disappeared from many people including a middle aged woman who couldn’t stop herself from jumping, bouncing and rejoicing at what the Lord had done for her. Many people were healed of the effects of strokes including one lady who was bed ridden and couldn’t move. After prayer at the hospital she was able to move her arms and legs, get out of bed and was seen going home one hour later.
I was really moved by the openness of people to seeking God’s help and desperately wanting him to change their life circumstances, in reality for many of these people he is their only hope. As a result people’s lives are changed and they bounce around and shout for joy because of what God has done for them.
This experience has encouraged me to continue to tell people about how God can change their lives, to pray for people to be healed, to seek opportunities to celebrate my faith in Jesus Christ with other members of his family, to spread his Good News wherever I have the opportunity and to hold onto the promises of John 14:12.
My faith life has been changed and enriched by this ministry experience and I hope and pray that the faith of the people to whom I minister in Batemans Bay will be strengthened also through the testimonies I have to share with them about what God did in the lives of people, including mine and other team members, in the Philippines in December 2010.

So many wonderful, noteworthy things happened that it is difficult to report them all; however below is one that I believe is a life changing event in a person’s life.
Anna, Sean, Justin and I went into the barangay(neighborhood) to minister to those who wanted prayer. We went to one home where the woman immediately produced a paper which looked like an MRI. She said the results did not help the doctor determine what was wrong with her, and that she had severe pains in her abdomen. We laid hands on her and she went down in the spirit. (She was not one who attended church, so this happening would be foreign to her.) After she got up, she kept touching her stomach and saying, “It’s gone.” She did this repeatedly. The woman with her had multiple problems. We suggested that the one, who had just received a healing, pray for her. She refused saying she could not pray, so we led her and she repeated Anna and I. The lady immediately exclaimed, “It’s gone….the ringing is gone. I can hear!” Then she said the pain is gone.  Wow! How awesome. We were going to another home and asked the first lady to accompany us.  The Lord spoke a word to her that she would do this throughout her barangay. She was ecstatic because she had died 3 years ago and been brought back to life.  She said she knew she had a purpose, but no one could help her know what it was!  I just felt impressed by the Lord to release this purpose to her. Now I know that she will be in a DMI fellowship, which will help her grow in her destiny!

As always the Destiny team continues to show how family and a culture of honor operates.

The things that stood out the most,

We got to pray for a 100 yr old woman who was deaf, I thought at 100 everybody was deaf.  I asked God how do we pray for her, He said like everyone else.  I prayed as I always would and God opened her ears.

We had two mini crusades where everyone got healed.

We saw 2 people with cataracts healed and several with strokes.

But the most dramatic was when we were in the hospital.  We were told that there was a little one year old girl who had only 4 hours to live.  When we got to the ward she laid there lifeless.  Dr Mike was on my team.  When I touched her I felt no spirit.  I looked at Mike, and he mouthed "she is dead."  We started to pray for her to come back.  The presence of God was very strong.  It was building up.  Then Mike said that we need to break the plans of the enemy off baby Rush.  As we started to do that we all felt that we needed to declare she was an evangelist for God.  As we did this baby Rush started to squeeze my index finger.  We all started to pray more.  Then her feet started to move, and then her arms.  Life came back into her body.  God had raised her from the dead.

December 2009

Below are testimonies from the team of how their lives were forever impacted by their trip to the Philippines. As you read these our prayer is that the Lord will stir up hunger in your own heart.

Where do I start? The entire experience was supernatural. The Lord dissolved goiters for three women.A crippled man arose from his wheelchair and walked on the last day of ministry in the poorest community I have ever been in. A woman had five tumors dissolve on her breast as I prayed. Glaucoma was reversed and the woman could see clearly out of that eye. Hearing was restored for several people.God really glorified Himself at every turn in the Philippines. Praise His wonderful name.

There were so many things that transpired during this trip that impacted me greatly; however a few touched me the most. The whole journey was so supernatural and had Papa's love all over it! Our Filipino family really understands and knows how to honor, fear, and host The Lord's Presence. I was moved to tears several times as the weight of His Glory was so strong during some of our soaking times and meetings together. Here are the few things that impacted and changed my life greatly:

1. Soaking: More transpired during these times in my spirit than I have words to describe. The heavy downloads of wisdom and revelation seems to be so easy to receive, because the atmosphere was so welcoming of His Presence. I realized during one of our soaking times with our Destiny family, that I belonged. Well, as daddy Leif would say, "I got it," for the last several years of my life, so I thought. But it was not until one of our first soaking times together, it "got me!" That revelation brought me to tears and a deep sense of peace rushed through my body.

2. Family: The Kingdom of God is truly a family business, which will be entrusted to sons and daughters. That revelation or paradigm could not have been more solidified in my spirit than on this particular trip, mainly because our Destiny Family is a prototype in the earth of Kingdom Family! Daddy Leif has learned to be a son and in return has learned to be a father and it was evident while in the Philippines. We who are blessed to be a part of this family, are so because, one couple asked a man to be their spiritual father and that man felt the amen in his spirit in May of 2006, when Paul and Ahlmira Yadao Senior Leaders of Destiny Ministries became sons and daughters of daddy Leif Hetland. I received a stronger revelation, deep in my spirit of Kingdom Family, while I was in the Philippines, with our Destiny Family!

3. Nations: This one was like a heavy load dropped in my spirit, a good heavy load! I carry the nations in my heart, especially the most unreached peoples. Our Destiny Family, who are being fathered by their spiritual daddy Paul Yadao (the senior leader of Destiny Ministries), displayed to me in such a unique way, how to be a Moses to his people. What I mean by that, is Paul understands how to receive nations, by simply climbing up to Mt. Horeb and Mt. Sinai as Moses did, in order to meet with God and to receive the "blue print from Heaven," on how to father a movement and disciple nations! Jesus told his disciples in Mt.28:19, to disciple nations. Being in the Philippines with our Destiny Family and leaning and gleaning from our brother Paul, I received such an impartation on how to receive nations like I have not previously.

There were so many amazing physical miracles/healings and salvations that happened while in the Philippines as well! Two physical healings that stick out, were the first of its kind for me:-) I prayed for a lady at one of the meetings who had a broken/degenerative disk in her back and had neck problems and also had kidney stones. I released Daddy God's Love over her and then decreed and declared her healing and she was miraculously healed!!!!! The next lady who I prayed for had the same exact problems, I kid you not and she was miraculously healed as well!!!!! Come on, only Daddy God can set something up like that. What a kiss from Papa!!! Another powerful testimony that comes to mind, is when we went to Calamba. This is where we were able to minister to the college of business students. Our brother Todd Bevan, preached an anointed message and gave an alter call to receive Jesus. I would say 200 students said "yes" to Jesus and wept when they received His free gift of Love!!!!!

I am so thankful to Papa for giving me such a wonderful Kingdom Family! I so love and appreciate Leif and our Destiny Family and I am excited to see what is on the horizon!!!

I had the privilege to pray for people with all kinds of sicknesses. Personally I saw God heal people in wonderful ways. During the first healing crusade I prayed for a man that had a metal plate in his ankle. He could not move the foot because of the metal plate. After prayer he could move the foot without pain and he could even jump up and down without pain. At the woman's prison i prayed for a woman that fell and broke her leg. She was in severe pain. As we prayed the pain left and she was able to get up and walk without her crutches. During our last healing service i prayed for cataracts that disappeared and deaf ears that opened up. One lady that had an enlarged goiter and had trouble swallowing for the last 10 years, the goiter disappeared and she was able to swallow normally again. The greatest miracle was not just the healing but the change to love these people and to be an expression of Fathers love. The ones that did not get healed know what it is to be loved and someone cared enough to pray for them. The lady in jail said to me, "no one has come to see me in 3 months, you will never know how much this visit mend to me".

These are some of the things that happened. The list is to long. One word for this trip! "Passion" I saw how passionate DAD loves His people, no matter who you are and where you live. HE LOVES YOU!

We have seen and experienced a lot of the miracles that Papa did to us and for the people and for the most part they documented.
Something that I see only Benny Hinn does was before our eyes where the lame walk, tumor gone, this one particular 13 year old girl who can't hardly speak or stutter and then able to straightened and then speak clearly. Praise the Lord. Tumor melting at the healing line or from rock to marble to sand and then become like pepper and just a black spot.

For me personally is to see the love manifested, compassion, unity and how the anointing flows to each and everyone of us. The nameless, faceless people like us, and we are just flowing in the grace God has given Daddy Leif to lead us. The foolishness of God that confound the wise-dancing the waltz is amazing. People falling and shaking in the power of the love of the Father.

My gratefulness, be privileged and honor to be part of the team. See all of you loving my people gives me more motivation, energy, drive and compassion to come back to my own country and be a full time missionary.

To have the understanding of father and son relationship as last days new wine skin that Father God wants for His children to learn and live by. The revelation of that and seeing that unfold not just reading it but experiencing it with the Destiny family and GMA family. The culture of honor- which if I will read the book that was just released will be easily understood because I see it in real time. Amazing. Before it got publish, you are living it, seeing it, that's cool.

I know that the miracle starts with me. The grace to love on people. The teaching I taught on "Seeing yourself as God sees you" is a reality that I can teach more effectively because I see how God sees me and how He sees all people. That I can truly love God with all my heart and Love my neighbor as I love me.

As an Evangelist I can preach not just the Gospel of Salvation but the Gospel of the Kingdom. This is a new journey, new destiny, Kingdomized as we word it out. Again 2/3's of the name of God is "GO" and one third is "D" which is Destiny for you and me.

I'm so glad to be a Filipino and Filipino American, but most of all to be a son... A son of the King who died for me.

The "Culture of Love" is still resonating deep in my heart as I return to California, my new mission field. I have shared with four groups of brothers and sisters already this week about our experiences in the Philippines and i will be heading out to the Midwest for two weeks to visit friends and family. I take with me some new revelation about God's family. The Filipino family have taught me much about the love of God, spiritual Fathers and Mothers as well as sisters and brothers. So much so that i am praying about returning to Paul's church for one month just to learn more about this culture of love. I am humbled to have been a part of this incredible team.
While I was there, I personally saw at least forty people healed that I prayed for. I know the rest of the team experienced the same thing. The most memorable healing was the lady in the care unit at the women's correctional Institute. She was lying on her bed when we passed her. We almost passed right by her. She told us that she had a heart attack a year ago. She was very weak and could hardly sit up and she was not able to open up her hands. She was also very pale and had lost half of her hair. She reminded me of my mother. As we prayed for her, she sat up in her bed and began to move her arms and open up her hands. I asked her to get out of bed without our assistance. She did, and began to walk around the room moving her arms and opening her hands. Her color returned to her face as she kept saying "I feel like I am dreaming", over and over again. She cried and hugged and kissed us as she thanked us for this miracle.
Another man I prayed for had some paralysis to his right arm and he was in pain. I prayed for him and five minutes later he was walking by me carrying a large bag of rice. He looked at me and said "Look Robert, I can carry this bag". He was so lit up and excited about what God had just done for him. That week, three more were healed of arthritis in their knees, sore eyes, Asthma, head aches, hearing problems, fevers, colds and many others. Our Father is so loving and he cares so much for His kids.
Thanks again for the privilege of traveling with the GMA family and Destiny Ministries. I speak highly of you where ever I go.

The Philippines trip truly is indescribable in words to articulate all the workings of the heart in the GMA, Destiny and team. The very Heart of Papa God for His family and Kingdom culture on earth was revealed to us and His heart for all of us to Restore all nations, we 'got' to partake in this together.
The Kingdom culture of honor and covenant relationships was apparent and shown to us in their every day lives inside and outside of the church. The Lord did a deep work in my heart and a weaving of all of our Hearts throughout the entire trip. The serving from the Destiny family was beyond any expectation and displayed the very heart of the Kingdom family to each of us. Seeing the reality of everyone at Destiny crying out for the nations and contending to be filled with the Glory of God so they can reveal to others to change lives and nations. To see in practice that the key to Kingdom culture is soaking, for revelation as they wait on the Lord and obtain what is needed from Heaven in their every day lives was absolutely supernatural and amazing. The deliberate effort for family and covenant relationships was shown in their loyalty, honor, worship and purity.

The Lord moved mightily in the outreaches and conferences by displaying The Father's Love with healings, gem stones, miracles and almost everyone at every place we prayed for got healed and give the glory and honor to the Lord.

Thank you to GMA for taking us as a team, for loving us and to the Destiny family for serving and loving us as family, the trip forever changed my heart, my view of the Kingdom, increased us together as Family and solidified who I am as a daughter and the unity in the Body of Christ as we usher in the second coming of Christ and go to all nations.

All evening I have been pondering on the impact of the Philippine trip on our lives. Yes, the healings were awesome, but I must not forget what probably impacted me more - the connecting and intertwining of hearts that only Daddy can do with His kids. We experienced His hand as we would find ourselves at the right spot with the "right" person and we would begin to share hearts and His love. It would seem that we had the "right" words for each other, just what He wanted spoken. Yes, we experienced many divine moments with our brothers and sisters. The relationships that our Papa brings about make our hearts sing!
And the Spirit released a wake up call...to wake up, shine, for we were born for such a time as this. I believe many received this wake up call in greater depth, and I believe that the Lord has spoken that we are now carrying that WAKE UP CALL, to wake up the many He will take us to.

-Jane Griffith (Pennsylvania)

I am still processing everything the Lord has done and I believe it is going to take days maybe even months to do. I believe what was deposited will last forever because I am forever changed.

The trip to the Philippines has been one of the most significant mission trips I have ever been on. The Filipino culture is rich in family structure and honor. This was one of the first things I noticed. They servied us with the service of Christ, like I had never seen before. Their acts of kindness were something that definitely won my heart over. I believe the Lord was allowing me to see part of the blueprint of heaven in the realm of the family of the Kingdom of God. God is definitely on the move in Southeast Asia establishing His Kingdom.

In going to the Philippians I thought I was on a mission for God but I soon found out God was on a mission. What I mean by that is before arriving to the Philippians I was looking through the lens of a orphan spirit so my mentality was that I had to perform. Doing Doing Doing to be accepted. The first day there I heard the word enjoy. This is not something an orphan spirit does at all. It wasnt long into the trip. ( First soaking time ) the Lord did an intense work in my heart. All I can say is I have a revelation of the Spirit of Sonship. I truly am looking through a different lens and I like what I see. This one thing I leave the Philippians knowing is I am in the beloved and the beloved is in me. I am in a whole new arena in the Kingdom of God. I can now minister from a place of rest of being in HIM. I seen many healing's from the death hearing to the blind seeing and the lame walking. The greatest miracle to me was going from a orphan spirit to the spirit of adoption. I am forever grateful to the Philipino family who has said yes in their hearts to the Lord. The DNA of the Kingdom of God was shown to me in a way I had never seen before.

We have already begun to have soaking times in our house. I can truly say because of the change in my heart it has changed the atmosphere in my household. My wife can already testify to this she is amazed at the change. Only God knows the extent of the impact it will have in our region.

I want to thank all those at Destiny for the acts of kindness and the service of LOVE. In all my missions trips I have never seen a culture that honors and a culture of family like yours. I believe with all my heart the Lord was allowing me to see a portion of the blueprint of heaven.

Thank you Leif for allowing me to go and be a part of the GMA family. You ALL are a true BLESSING.

There is much more I can testify about but I think I got the main point across.

-Rodger (Iowa)

I have been given the privilege of traveling to fellowship with the Bride of Christ in many nations over the past 12 years. And the two words that come to mind in describing my trip to the Philippines with Daddy Leif and the GMA team are: family and intentional. But never have I seen such a working model of the family among the Body of Christ as what I experienced among our brothers and sisters of the Destiny Church in Los Banos, Philippines. I saw how faith, mixed with intentional sitting (soaking) before the Lord can cause us to receive the downloads of fellowship and heavenly strategies to bring about transformation in us and then through us to a world lost in the darkness. Unlike most of what I have witnessed in or own country over the years, I saw how Paul and the Destiny leadership have taken prophetic words over their lives and ministry and are co-laboring with the Spirit of God to become the safe resting place of those very words. They do not just hear the word and passively wait for it come to pass. Instead, they actively put the word into the action of laying before the Lord for His direction and then doing whatever He reveals to prepare themselves for the delivery of that same word. And, the ongoing culture in which this is all set is nothing less than FAMILY, sharing life on every level with one another (not unlike the testimonies of the 1st century church).
My life has been impacted and changed forever. And I know that the seeds of what were imparted to the GMA team will bring a great growth and harvest in our home churches, as well. May the Bride continue to "lean forward and lean back" in the eternal waltz with our Bridegroom as we prepare for our soon wedding feast.
-Katherine (Iowa)

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. I had been given this verse by a leader the day before I left for the Philippines. I did not know a single person going on this trip, which was quite daunting, but I did know that God would be with me wherever I went! After attending Randy Clark’s healing conference, I stumbled across the GMA website, saw the Philippines mission trip, was amazed at what it had to offer, felt that the dates were perfect for me, prayed about it, felt that this is what God wanted me to do for those two weeks of my life and so I signed up for the trip. I believe that if something is God’s will, all we have to do is listen to Him and everything will go smoothly based on the famous verse from Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Firstly, I met with strong opposition from my family for various reasons, however, after fervent prayer, I spoke with my dad who miraculously just accepted the idea. I was supposed to arrive in the Philippines by the evening of 7th of December at the latest, just one day after the UBF conference. I met with rebuke when I suggested that I may need to leave the conference early to catch my flight. I struggled to find an air ticket at an acceptable price that would get me to the Philippines on time without having to leave the conference early. I tried on several occasions to search for tickets, but in the end God led me to the right tickets with my favourite airline, that allowed me to stay for the full length of the conference and got me to the Philippines just on time and even allowed me to go to Hong Kong for a really great price. Yay God! Although still a student, finance wasn’t something I thought too much about because it is something I trusted God to handle. I had a few great sponsors that supported me financially for this trip and another sister who handed me a bundle of cash just before I left. God was really blessing me already! Following the examinations at the end of the year, I fretted that I would need to sit supplementary examinations. If so, I would have to fly back from the Philippines on very short notice in the middle of my trip. I worried and asked people to pray for me and even tried to beg the Medical School to release results early for students going overseas! But God remained faithful to me (He had given me assurance at the beginning of the year that I would not have problems passing into 3rd year). I had passed my examinations. Thank you Father! I really admired the church we worked with – Destiny Ministries International. It was an important message for them to bring out that the time spent working ministering to others should equal the time we spend in relationship, both with each other and with the Lord. That is, if we have not received anything, how can we give it away? Therefore, much of our time was spent having fellowship with one another, simply worshiping God, being in God’s presence and allowing Him to love us and bless us, encouraging one another in the spirit and building each other up. I had never came across the term “soaking” before in regards to soaking in God’s love. I didn’t know what was happening but I was shocked to find that God actually did speak to me! I had many people minister to me and I was deeply encouraged. I even had the opportunity to minister and pray for others. To be honest, I was concerned that my prayers would be weak and from my own heart rather than from the Father’s heart, but I was continuously shocked when I was told that God had really spoken to them when I prayed for them. I was extremely apprehensive at the start of the trip, but slowly began to feel an abundance of joy and excitement to be a part of this kingdom culture! For much of the ministry portions of the trip, we held mini-crusades in the local Barangays. The people in the Philippines are so open to the Lord and the works of the Holy Spirit because their situation makes them so desperate for anything. Although they were unbelievers, the Barangays welcomed us to come and bless them and pray for them. At these mini-crusades we would usually begin with some worship songs and then have an evangelical message by someone on our mission team. We would pray specifically for the Barangay for things such as wisdom to know how to govern the town and govern the town in such a way as to please the Lord, that the Lord would bring financial blessing on them or other things they specifically required. At one Barangay, we spent an afternoon helping them paint their building gate and office. At another Barangay, DMI had painted some much needed rubbish bins which were distributed around the area. Lastly, the team would stand at the front and anyone from the crowd who wanted prayer would line up. If they had a need for what they wanted the Lord to do for them, such as healing, financial or other specific needs, we would pray for God to change their circumstances. If they did not have a need, we would pray a prayer of blessing over them. During these meetings, we saw many healing miracles, but I think the main thing was that God touched their hearts with His love, setting them free and changing their lives. At several meetings, we had special messages for the children. We blessed each of them and told them how much the Father loves them and that they are Princes and Princesses in God’s Kingdom. We gave the girls balloon crowns as Princesses and knighted the boys balloon swords as Princes. Even though these children may know of Jesus, they do not know how much the Father loves them and how much they are worth. We also visited a public hospital where we went around praying for all the patients in teams of two or three. We saw many miracles happen here also. God healed many with Dengue fever which can kill within weeks and he even healed a stroke victim who was paralysed completely on one side. She ended up leaving the hospital at the same time we left the hospital! Praise God! At one time, half the team visited a prison and although I was not one of the ones who went, I knew that they had an amazing time just spreading a message of God’s awesome love and hope to them. We also visited a local elementary school where we sang some praise songs and did a drama for the children called, ‘the Father’s Love’. It was heart-warming to see every single child raise their hand in response to Jesus’ love for them. Again, we blessed each one and gave them medallions as Princes and Princesses. These children came from especially poor families, so after feeding them spiritually, we fed them with physical food. We had packed just enough boxes for the children that were going to be present – 250 boxes. When we had counted all the children and given a box of food for each of them, we found that we had over 50 boxes leftover. We were also able to feed the teachers and other children that had not been ‘invited’ with these extra boxes God had provided for us! We participated in a Youth Awakening and saw hundreds of teenagers and university students on their knees in tears crying out for the Lord. We prayed for and touched each one of them. Sometimes during the trip, when we were walking down the street or waiting for something, we would just approach the people and pray for them and bless them. The people in the Philippines all respond very well and are very thankful for the blessing and prayer. I realise that what we give out just rebounds back on to us. The amount of love we give just by a simple touch on the shoulder, a hug or a prayer will come back and touch your heart in ways unimaginable. I felt extremely blessed and unworthy to be a part of this. At one mini-crusade, I was thinking in my head that it would be better if someone else prayed for the people because if I prayed for them, they might not get healed. However, I was encouraged to join the team to pray for the people, mostly for healing. I was completely shocked when every single person I prayed for was being healed instantly. I prayed for a lady with pain all over her body, in her stomach and intestines and she also had a headache, she was healed! I prayed for another lady with problems in her eyes. Although I couldn’t understand the exact problem due to having to work with translators, I was told that her previously blurry eye was now totally clear. I was more shocked than she was! I prayed for a little boy who had injured his arm the week before. After prayer he was able to move it freely in all directions right in front of my eyes and told me there was no pain. I was almost in tears. There were other people I prayed for which instant healing could not be seen, such as a blessing over a pregnant lady having her first child and another little boy who had problems with sweating. However, I am confident that the Lord was present and active and ready to touch each of these beautiful lives in a powerful way. The Lord really stirred up my heart and I dare not think again that God would withhold his love from any person just because I might think that I am unworthy to serve Him.
